How do you find out about triple points on Gather???

When the site does a bonus or promo, they announce it here on the site itself. Usually someone like Pam, Tom, or MaryAnne post it.

They typically do their promos more in the summer than the winter.

I have no clue, then again I am not here as much as I want to be.

I didn't receive notification of the last 10-points-for-photos promotion, and I would have loved to participate. I have so many photos waiting to be uploads that it would have been a nice push (and represented a nice PayPal sum ; ). I'd like to know how to get on that list myself Michelle.

Priscilla's right. I think when I logged on the day it started, there was a banner right on my front page with the information.

I got an email about triple points, plus I saw lots of articles from my connections.

I was on hiatus when they had the photo promo. I can't wait until the next one.

I was on vacation, so I missed most of it.

I heard about it on the homepage announcement banner but for me the whole site bogged down and kept eating my photos

It's on the home page. If you are active on the site regularly it's hard to miss. Usership goes down in the summer, so that is probably why they make the push then. I'm guessing between the economy and holiday season people are plenty active to get whatever bonuses they can. Triple points would be nice, but I'm not expecting it.

I'm pretty sure you'll know if you are on gather at all.

Being new to gather, I don't know anything about the reward system or points needed to earn rewards. I have been searching the site but am unable to find anything that is helpful.

Any gather promotions like that are always on the home page and they send out an e-mail too.
Nancy, go to your profile -
to the right of your icon it will state how many points you have (there's no sign up involved, everyone earnes points, whenever you are active on gather).

Then, if you click on the points that are highlighted it will take you to a page that shows the information about points (the formula is secret, so you will not find anything like you get x amt of points for such and such like comments or writing a post or posting a photo.

From there you can click through to the various gift cards and pay pal option you have and it will state how many points you will need for each. I just cashed out for $25 for pay pal and had it in my pay pal account three days later. Pretty good.

Just have fun and find some people you like to interchange with and the point ahem gift cards will start rolling in.
