This place has been around longer, than I can remember! It has stores all over the nation! In fact...it was one of the first stores of it's kind out there. It has definitely been a "pillar" amongst the business venues!

For being one of the leaders in the electronics industry, they have continued to remain remotely small (store wise.) Unlike Fry's...the building square footage...is quite dinky in comparison. Now...does this make a store of better quality...because of it's size? No... not really. They basically offer everything...that any other electronics store out there offers...the only difference.

1. It's on a smaller scale.
2. There are more locations because of it's size.
3. And the product prices are usually higher!

Now...why shop at a place...when there are competitors who can give you a better "bang" for your buck???!!!

Familiarity...maybe? They say...that it's much harder to teach an "old" dog, new tricks. So...I guess it's like a name brand that you can trust. Some of us old geezers...just don't want to fix something that isn't broke.

They gained their popularity...by being known for carrying electronic parts for the most part. However...I often wonder how often their product moves off the shelf? It's like I've gone in there and seen dust on the battery packages. Obviously...they sell enough...or they wouldn't be in business...right?

They have since broaden their inventory... like cell phones and their carriers...notebook computers...HDTV's and CB radios...just to name a few. The reason I guess...is now they are trying to keep up with the Joneses...so they can lure in the newer generation, without losing the generation who are trying to keep themselves together, with formaldehyde and denture cream.

Now some...may feel overwhelmed and not want to have to muddle through a large inventory, just to find what they are looking for. They prefer the quaint little store. Of course...despite the smallness of the stores, you will wait longer. I dunno...but I think they train their employees to operate on simmer. Nice and slow!!!

They're on the right cruise control speed, or they wouldn't still be here! So...if you are one of those who feels overpowered going to a larger store...try them out. I think you will like the experience.

P.S. Don't mind the pushy salesman or two...they probably took an overdose of Prozac.
