Thomas Beatie, who was the Oregon man who had a baby in July of 2008 is pregnant again. Holy crap I may have to watch the special tomorrow night. So what do you all think?

i'm ok with it. he was born a woman and still has all of his reproductive organs. this doesn't really shock me all that much for some reason. i think if he were born a man and was pregnant . . . then i might watch. that would be a sight to see!

I just do not get it. He/She wanted to be a man but did not want to give up being a women? It said it gave birth naturally if it had become a man how would it squeeze it out. I guess I just do not get it.

Can't figure out why he'd want to be pregnant if he wants to be a man, but HOW is it happening. He's with a woman, isn't he? Where is the sperm coming from?

Forgot to add. I have no problem with a gay, transsexual, bi, transvestite or any other sexual orientation. Just seems like he hasn't quite made up his mind as to what he wants.

To me it is nothing special and should never have got the attention it did as he was born a Woman so to me it is nothing special it is false attention as most Women have Babies, I do not mean to sound horrible but that is how I feel about it

:::sigh::: My thoughts are I just wish they would stop calling him a pregnant man...it's so misleading, and I'm sorry if anyone disagrees, but confusing to my kid. I'm very supportive of gay rights, marriage, all that...but this isn't anything but biology. He was born a woman, and has all her reprodutive organs...he's NOT a gay man. He's a woman, living life as a man, who is now pregnant, biologically speaking. This story just makes me sad more than anything else...it just seems so exploitative that it makes me question their (the couple) motives in all this, and I hate feeling that way about any couple who wants to have a baby. If they were simply a gay couple who wanted a baby, I'd be all for it, but it also probably wouldn't be making headlines. I just hate the hype, and really, wish they did too, but they seem to rather enjoy it. Sad really.

I agree that he is not really TECHNICALLY a man...he is a freakin woman! So, while I don't mind that he/she is pregnant, I wish people would stop saying "Man is pregnant"---he is a woman!

He's only part woman..he's had some parts removed and reconstructed...just not all the reproductive parts. I feel bad for the children.

I agree with Sarah, Elizabeth and Connie. This is really not a pregnant man, though the photos look strange because she/he has masculine features due to hormone treatments and some surgery. But, he has all the female reproductive organs to make a baby.

Some people are more androgynous than others. This person isn't a pregnant man biologically, but if he identifies as a male gender-wise, then the label fits better. I think the term is gender-gliding - living as a gender opposite the sex one was born with.

I should say that I have not read up on it at all just heard it announced here and there.
