Have you ever noticed on Gather...... that views are larger compared to comments you receive?
I'm not sure if I'm the only person this is happening to, but for example: I have noticed articles would state; 28 views, but you will only have 12-14 feedback quality in comments.
Does this mean people are only viewing for the points and not viewing your article/photo's for commenting? I know. I am tempted to always comment everything I view, but that is just me.
What is your thought? Is this happening to you? Or am I the only one? :)

other days i comment on as many as i can. whether or not i leave a comment just depends on the individual post i am viewing.
Yes, points award to both viewer, and the viewed, even when no comment is left. Like others, I often gather with a lapful of baby and don't have hands to comment. I read A LOT more than I comment and still make decent points.
Also, people from outside gather can pull up our articles on search engines and come view them - but can't comment unless they create an account. Some comment-less views, especially on articles likely to draw a wide audience, are from outside the site.
This is completely wrong. As I've said, I view a lot - and get points for it. I post very little, comparatively, throughout my time here, and have watched the points accumulate in months I have not posted anything, only viewed.
In fact, my lifemate, using my advice and being disinclined to comment much, achieved cash option with, I think, a total of 2 posts and 1 photo, very few friends or views of his work, and less than a handful of comments, but a tremendous amount of his own viewing and reading activity of others' work on the site.
Then, sometimes, you are tricked into going into an article that isn't what you thought it was and that you would never have gone to if you would've known what it was.
