I received a $25 Target card in the mail today, in fact! I'm waiting on one more. And I do believe I'll be able to cash out again tonight- yay!
All the points I get between now and mid-December will be going towards Christmas gifts. Then, from mid-December to mid-January, they'll go towards gifts. Gilly turns 7 on December 27th, and Chris turns 10 on January 15th. We always do a small family only celebration on Gilly's birthday- just us, a small cake or cup cakes, and 1 or 2 small gifts. With us living so far away from all of our families, and due to the proximity to Christmas, we have her larger birthday party at the same time as Chris in mid January. So, I'm planning to try and get them each a $25 Target card as a gift, so they can pick out a gift they want.
What are your goals? Do you have goals, or just hoping for the best?

I have to say- I've been blessed here, this site was a great find, and has led to a lot of great friendships. And it's really helped out this year!

Thanks everyone :)
Beate, I hope you are able to as well. How are your points?
Angela's b=day is Jan 3rd, so I need to figure out what to get her.
Faith- I can understand that. We're not totally cutting adults off this year, but I'm drastically cutting back. I made ornaments with the kids picture on them for some specific closer relatives, and got them for $3 each, so those adults are taken care of, as far as I'm concerned.
Sue, I love that you guys are able to visit her so much- it must be hard with her living so far away to not be able to see her as often as you like!
Heather, I'm also cashing out as soon as I hit $25 now. I saved from July to October without cashing out, because I knew I'd still get it in time. But, now, all the cards are for shopping or to give as gifts, so I want to make sure they arrive in time!
Thanks for the comments, everyone!
Should be able to do the same this year.
I just keep on trucking along.
I am working on getting enough for a great vacuum in January (I'm hoping to find a great deal), I am also working on the Christmas tree and then I'm working on money for the January sales and after Christmas sales, as I need to get all my Christmas shopping for next year done and b-day presents as well before March, as my dad comes to visit. I want to ship as many presents home with him to save on the shipping cost.
Thanks, J! You'll do great after Christmas. I love the sales! I try to get birthday gifts at that time!
My goal... somehow survive until I can find some kind of job that I can do... Being limited physically, without some education in a non-labor type of job, with the state of employment in Michigan.... Well, it can be depressing a bit.
Yeah, Michigan's economy is just the pits. :( So many people losing their jobs, and so few jobs left to find. I hope that you are able to find something, Melanie!
I don't have a goal here on Gather since I don't get on much, but I am hoping for the best. We have a birthday on 1/3, so I don't get a lot of time after Christmas to plan for it.
I do use MyPoints, but like you mention, it can be slow. I very occasionally order online, so that helps, but typically, it's a 5 points at a time site for me.
Our bank doesn't offer any rewards programs, and I considered switching, but it's the same bank where our mortgage is held (or was- it just got sold, yikes!), so we decided to just stick with it. Now, though, maybe we will change.. hmm..
I also use Treasure Trooper (but not often), as well as. I don't do a whole lot of places anymore, because the time vs what is given in return doesn't interest me. I love being here at Gather because it's a site I actually like. That makes me a bit more willing to put more time in here.
I've been trying Spotwinner, but no big wins yet, and not enough for even a $5 gift card yet. I just joined iWin or iWon,or whatever it's called. That one isn't too bad, because I love playing arcade type games, so I may as well earn points at the same time, I suppose. The down side is that it is only for raffle entries, so who knows.
