I have been keeping a photo journal of the beauty I find in my days, and of late, I have been sharing my photos here on gather, hoping to inspire this one thought . . . we live in a beautiful world if we look close enough.
I have not posted in a couple of days because of time constraints, but that's okay because the collection now lends itself to the catchy little title.
For those of you who have been following along, my dad was bringing his camera (a far better one than what I usually take pics with-a Nikon with interchangeable lenses) out on Sunday. He didn't make it earlier enough before our trip, but he came back on Tuesday. It wasn't early enough in the day to catch the bluejays or squirrels, but I did get some pretty cool shots. I hope you enjoy them.
This first one was really just a test shot, but the fall colors were such an explosion that I had to include it.
Dad said the sunlight was too bright from our vantage point to get really detailed closeups of the birds from the distance we were at. I was still pleased. They are much better than what I usually get with my camera.
Funny thing about this next shot is that we do not have feeders big enough to hold the doves . . . so what they do is hang out under the feeder while the little birds eat and take the seeds that fall over onto the ground. I love seeing them as well so now Kenny always puts a little on the ground too.

I am sharing this shot because I was pleased with catching a bird in flight.
And I am sharing this one for the sheer volume of numbers.
This next one looks like there is a parley going on about bird feeder rights.

Looks like daddy cardinal is saying, "Hey. Don't you walk away from me when I am talking."

Mother cardinal doesn't want to talk about it. They have just turned their back on the problems. lol

Uh-oh, looks like a little redbird in the mix. No wonder mother cardinal was upset. Okay, okay, now I am going overboard with my imagination, I know. But, I am entertained at the least. Chuckles.

The only smart birds in the bunch were the orioles.

They went to school. None of the other birds went to that feeder, which was a shame because the vantage point, closeness, and lighting was better.

Let me tell you 'bout the birds and the bees . . . okay, so they are not bees, they are yellow jackets, but jackets did not go with my catchy title.

These next few are titled by moi as, "If you want the sweet stuff out of life, dive in head first."

. . . and the flowers and the trees . . .

. . . and the moon up above . . .

. . . and a thing called love.
There has never been a happier time in my life than right now. I have mad love for my new grandson. Twelve years ago when I was diagnosed with stage 3C ovarian cancer and told that even with treatments and surgery, I had only a 15-40% chance of survival, I didn't think I would get to finish raising my children . . . and now, not only is there Ryan Michael, but also, twin grandsons due in April. I feel like I am of all women, most blessed. I am sure you all must feel the same way about your own blessings.
Here is my daugher and grandson making goo-goo eyes at one another.

And here, Ryan is getting a little cranky so mommy is helping get ready for his nap with my son, Ryan's Uncle Seth.

Aren't they cute there together.

He woke up fresh faced and happy. He is six weeks old and really just now developing personality.

He is so happy. This is his first caught on camera smile. His dimple didn't show up in the shot, but trust me, it's cute.
Here he is trying to talk and sing with Nana *that's me*. He is just a little doll.

So there you have it . . . the birds and the bees, and the flowers and the trees, and the moon up above, and a thing called love.
I hope you enjoyed sharing the beauty in my world. I am glad you stopped by and hope that you have a lovely day. I hope to write again soon, but in the meantime . . . may God richly bless you.
PS: I know I rarely share any negative aspects of life on gather, but my life is not problem free. I try to focus on the positive and subscrible whole heartedly to Phil. 4:8. I guess what I want to say is, don't think I live a charmed life. Just know I focus on the things that would make it seem so.
