Better Late than Never...Surgery is on!

It is 5pm as I write this. I am in the lobby of the Women's Center where my daughter is. We have waited ALL DAY and they just took her to pre-op holding around 4:15.

Although I work in a hospital, I hate them. All this waiting around and waiting and waiting.

Well, hopefully by now things are underway. I will keep everyone posted on how things went. I am sure everything is going to be fine, but no surgery comes without risks.

Thanks to everyone who left comments on my previous post. Your thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated. How wonderful it is to have you all as Gather friends!!!

I hope everything turns out well. My daughter had an avary removed this year. I was nervous but everything went okay. Prayers are with you.

I've never understood the reason for much of the waiting. Why tell someone to be at the hospital at 7 a.m. if you aren't going to do anything for hours afterward? When my father went into the hospital for 3 pts of blood, he was instructed to be there at 7 a.m. Finally about 1 p.m. they took him to a room and started the transfusions at 2:30 p.m. He'd have been so much more comfortable at home all that time.
I can't imagine having to wait there all day, especially if she was having pain.
