Just a little something about Clint Eastwood, I did not know until today. A friend of mine was talking about an old Playboy magazine. That did an interview with his daughter. Which had done some photos for them. Most of the questions of course pertained to her dad.
~
Clint Eastwod was encouraged to try acting by two of his Army buddies, he landed a contract at Universal Studios in 1954, earning $75.00 a week playing bit parts in B-grade movies like Revenge of the Creature (1955) and Tarantula (1955).
He was dropped when some studio execs decided his Adam's apple was too big! Can you imagine, handsome Clint Eastwood dropped for his Adam's apple?? This part just amazed me. I did not think it was that big.
Over the next few years, he dug swimming pools between playing bit parts in movies and on TV. While visiting a friend at CBS, Eastwood was spotted by a network exec who cast him as cattle driver Rowdy Yates in the long-running western series "Rawhide" (1959). That, led to stardom in a string of Sergio Leone westerns, beginning with, "A Fistful of Dollars".
Which did you like better? His character Dirty Harry? Or his westerns? Both?~
I would have to be in the both category. =)
