After I researched how to increase Gather content page views through Facebook, I found a way to do the same for MySpace. Although MySpace doesn't have the same RSS feed option, we've created a widget that essentially accomplishes the same goal! Just by using the copy and paste option, you can add your widget anywhere you would like in your MySpace profile. This is great way to promote great Gather content to friends on your other social networks!
You can use the instructions below if you'd like to create your widget, or shoot me an email on Gather and we can make a widget and send it to you.
Step 1
Go to widgetbox.com to create a widget. Next click on the orange tab labeled "Blog/Feed." Enter your Gather url. (i.e. http://emily.gather.com/
Step 2
Design and personalize your widget to make it yours. Once your done, click on the green "save blidget" option in the top left. It will ask you to register for an account (free, of course) which only takes a moment.
Step 3
Click on the MySpace icon on the left side of the page. When a new box pops up click on the green "EMBED CODE" option and it gives you the HTML for your widget. All you need to do now is copy and paste the HTML code anywhere in your MySpace profile to add your widget!

Also, the post you shared a couple weeks ago about adding a Gather widget on to your Facebook page was really effective for me. I'm seeing a lot of new traffic to the stuff I share on Gather from my network on Facebook. Talk about multi-tasking. Thanks again!
