My husband and I haven't seen a movie in a while, so we decided to go to the cheap theater last night. We saw WALL-E (which is probably out on DVD by now, but that's okay.) I thought it was a pretty well done movie. It was cute. I also thought, though, that it had a great message. You can see some of our society in the people in the movie. If we don't be careful, that's exactly how our planet is going to end up.
If you don't know, here's what the movie's about. Wall-e is a robot that has been left behind to clean up the planet while the people of earth take a supposedly five year cruise. A probe named Eve comes to earth where Wall-e is on a mission. She finds new life and reports back to the cruise ship (Wall-e hitches a ride with her.) We find out that it's been 700 years since the cruise took off. If there is life they should be able to go back, but something is stopping them.
I highly recommend you watching this movie. It'll be fun for the whole family.
