Michigan deer hunters...question

Have any of you been seeing less deer this year with the baiting ban?

My husband has bow hunted every day since the season started,except for when it was raining too hard,and has only seen 4 deer.He has always gotten a deer on our property during bow season.He is picky,no small bucks or does,but he has only seen 4 deer all season so far.

Not sure if it because of no bait or so much standing corn in the area.

My husband hunts on state land, and it's very hard to get a deer to the right spot for a shot with a bow without bait. He's definitely upset--no venison for the freezer yet. We've still got rifle and muzzleloader seasons, though.

Bummer. I don't live in Michigan, but feel his pain, LOL. Around here, I guess I'm used to slow years mixed with good. We don't have near as many deer I don't think, but I always hunt public lands.

We've been seeing alot this year actually, my uncle got a 9 point on Sunday! Can't wait to go up this weekend!

We see loads of deer in our backyard every day. Probably that's because they feel safe here.

Our camp so far has gotten a 9 point, an 8 point, and 4 6 points! I'll try to post some pictures tomorrow! We got 2 of the 6 points, and an 8 point on Opening Day of Rifle alone!
