Amazing Race 11-9 Recap

This was an interesting start with a task that turned out to be quite challenging for one of the teams that one member had a major melt down. 

The order in which teams left the pit stop:

• Nick & Starr - 8:55 am
• Kelly & Christy 9:02 am
• Toni & Dallas - 9:10 am
• Terence & Sarah - 9:31am
• Andrew & Dan - 9:44 am
• Ken & Tina - 9:51am

Clue: Find the Deshbandhu Apartments and search for the central park for the next clue.

Road Block: The person had to run through the courtyard while getting pelted with colorful dye and water from the revelers to go up a ladder and search among hundreds of envelopes that said "Try Again" to find the one that is marked "The Amazing Race" to find the next clue.

Kelly made this look hard, but I think youjust had to be willing to get covered with dye.

Clue: Go into Old Delhi and find the Charity Birds Hospital. Once there, they had to search through bird cages for their next clue.

Detour: In Bleary Eyed, teams had to follow a power line and keep track of the numbers listed on the tiny tags randomly along the lines until they found a man at a sewing machine and gave him the numbers. If they were correct, he would send them over to a shop across the street to get their next clue. In Teary Eyed, they had to go to a market and find a stall where they would pick up two 40-pound bags of chilies and deliver them on foot 1/4 mile to where they had to use a mortar and pestle to make enough chili powder to fill up to a designated line in a bowl.

One team did the chilies Terence & Sarah and it did look like hard work.  I was impressed that Sarah  picked up the 40 pound bag.  I'm not sure my husband would have wanted to do the chilies, but he would have had no trouble with the numbers.  My eye sight is bad, so that would have been hard for me.

Speed Bump: They had to complete a form of community service where they would serve holy water to the patrons of the temple.They would complete the task after there were no more worshippers wanting water. 

The task was only completed by the team that lost last week.  It really helped me change my opinion about Ken and Tina, who really worked well together this week.

Clue: Teams had to make their way to Humayun's Tomb, which was a mausoleum commerating past emperors. It was the pit stop for this leg of the race.

Final order arriving at the pit stop:

1. Nick & Starr They won a trip to Hawaii.

Who do you want to win? I hope Andrew and Dan leave next week. Nick and Starr have won so much that hope they don't win the big prize of cash.  I would enjoy seeing Toni and Dallas win, but don't think its likely.
