Even though she is 27 years old, Sarah will always be my baby.
My daughter was due to attend her graduation tonight from Medical Assistant School. Instead she was admitted to the hospital after spending almost 6 hours in the ER.
She awakened me around 4 this morning with agonizing abdominal pain. She was diagnosed with multiple gall stones, sludge and an elevated white blood cell count. The doc in the ER felt that the high white count was due to an infected gallbladder. The only answer being a Cholecystectomy (removal of the gallbladder) and antibiotics. Unfortunately, Monday is a heavy schedule day for surgeries and they can't do the Choly until the morning. They say they may take her as early as 5:30 am.
So, I am heading off to bed...got to get up early.
Please keep her in your thoughts tomorrow. Thanks...I love you all!

My babies are 28, 29 and 31...and they too will always be my babies. :)
Its a shame that this not only had to happen but to have it happen when it did. I'm sorry she will miss her graduation. I know us mothers worry (its our job anyway lol) but I am sure she will be fine. My babygirl is twenty five, and will always be my baby girl. My oldest (son)Is always referred to as buddy. So I know where your coming from. Let us know how things go when you can ok? Hope you get a good nights sleep.
Blessings!
