My new "job"

Well, I'm excited. I found another part-time "job" that I can do when I choose and it pays fairly well (for the type of work).  I'm going to be one of the "sample people" - you know, the ones who stand and give out samples in the stores. Not a bad gig at all - 4 hour shifts, they mail you the stuff or provide a debit card to buy what you need, and then pay you anywhere from $35-$58 per shift depending on what you're sampling. So far I have 3 dates scheduled and hoping to get more!  Yay! Extra Christmas money!  Another friend says she knows another company that does them also so she's going to give me the info on it.

 So, next time you see one of those people in the stores, find out what company arranges them and it might work for you too!

I used to do samples when I was in college - (the first time) and I really liked it - people were generally pretty nice, the hours were great, no headaches after work - just put in your time and your done. Wear comfy shoes and get a small rug like a car mat to place under your feet though - the first day I was pretty sore but then I got used to it.

I think they allow you to take in a bar stool (which I don't have), but the mat is a good idea.. hmmm... I don't like standing still either, but gotta do what I gotta do. And I do enjoy chatting with people so hopefully it won't be too bad. Bad thing is I have to wear black shoes and the only ones I own are not that comfortable. Can't buy new ones though so will have to survive

This is better than what I had signed up for years ago. 4 hour shifts are so much better on the feet as well as more convenient to schedule.
