Well, Hallelujah!! Finally catching a break here!

I think I posted my long rant on here regarding the lovely Florida Healthy Kids insurance program and how I'd called NUMEROUS times to find out the status only to find out on 10/31/08 that it was held up for lack of payment (like I was supposed to know to pay when I didn't even know if I'd been approved ???). Anyway, I paid on 10/31 and then was told they couldn't promise the payment would get posted in time to continue coverage. Ugh. I thought I was going to have to go through the whole, horrendous process again, which can take MONTHS.

 Well, whadayaknow... today I received my payment coupon booklet!! YAY! They weren't cancelled after all! And, not only that, my payment is $5 less than it was last year! Whoo hoo.

 That just made my day.

Oh, the perils of dealing with insurance providers..necessary evil but so frustrating! Happy to read that the kids are covered and for less money, too.

I remember that program when I was living in Florida, and it came in handy. The program hadn't been around that long and not many people were even aware of it. It seems to be they were much more efficent then.
