I didn't go to Mexico to dust away my sins. Just grabbed some jeans and jumped on the first morning bus. Slept in for the first hundred of miles, wasn't like I had any plans or anything. Except... she called, you know? He'd told her about us... She asked to meet me and believe me, I thought of running straight to hell. She didn't bring a gun, but him: "I find no joy in jailing a man whose heart is no longer of his own belonging. Be happy." I never thought of looking for redemption, but somehow I found it.

Thanks for posting to my group,
anythingwriting
Leaves some room for interpretation as to what happens to the three of them.
Well done Glory.
Ellen: a true honor hearing those words coming from you!
Netty: glad you enjoyed the little piece :)
John: yes, that was the intention of it. The challenge said finish the thought: "I didn't go to ___ looking for redemption, but somehow I found it." I liked to take it kind'a literally and fill in the blanks :)
Angela: my pleasure to support a baby writing group!
Lynn: it's supposed to have a happy ending, at some point, but I'm not quite sure they'll get it :)
Aratma: interpretation is the word, indeed
Sue: glad you liked it :)
Pat: had I tried to make it look so, it definitely wouldn't have come out
Judi: long time no see, welcome!
hope you have a great holiday!
