I've been away for an awfully long time this time, but as always, I have my reasons, and they're good ones.
See, I was running for public office for the first time of my life, trying to keep up with my household, homeschooling the girls, running my business, and working two jobs.
Really, was quite the adventure, and while I want to serve (at least) as a beacon to other regular folks who may not have thought they have a chance of making a difference in their world by running for public office, I'm not sure at the moment if I want to put my family through that kind of stress again.
But now I'm back, and I hope to be visiting at least once a week so I can have a chance to catch up with all of my Gather buddies, and keep you posted on what's going on in our lives yet again. *smile*

Hello back gather chat. We have been posting more back at our stomping ground (gather) but we are still working to build some other sites up to and do some cross promoting.
For yoga / health & wellbeing check Bonsai Studio's Sacred Living site out:

Or since you are in the SOUTH...yeah... maybe you would join the folks at NamaSpirit: in the SOUTH

Luckily for those that had planned to vote for me, I was able to get the word out quickly enough that none of them wasted their votes on someone who the votes would not be counted for. I would have hated that more than anything else.
If I run for public office again, I'm going to do it on a somewhat smaller scale. Heck, tonight, I go to a city council meeting! *grin*
In office or not, we citizens have to stand up for what is right and have a say in how our communities, and our country is run. If we don't speak our minds, then we aren't taking the responsibilities of citizenship seriously. That would be a sad thing indeed.
I agree, there truly is no place like home. *smile*
Thanks for the links!
I was hoping nobody voted for me though, because votes for me weren't allowed to be counted at all, due to a series of mishaps involving the election authority's office.
