I Am Near As A Poem

You speak of afar
as if I am light years away
yet I am as near a wish
you can have any day

I am but a poem
in distance from you
a few words, a stanza
or a verse or two

Never give in to doubt
poetic lines create the way
no matter how bad it gets
words know what to say

The pains of life scribe
deep scars within our heart
and oft times leaves us
hurt and broken apart

But as you wish
just write a few lines to me
and I will be certain
to return the favor to thee

Don't fret nor forget
words can draw us near
seems  a rhyme, a verse
can make things clear

Dont think me so far
in the midst of a bad day
I am near as a wish,
a verse,  a poem on its way.

I do think of you often as being near.
It reassures me, in this 49/49 state.
Thinking people are so very dear.
Loving people, even more rare, I fear.
In this world of such division and hate...
The path to peace is long, but clear.

Hi Spencer...............looked for you today...........said to David Spencer comes here. He might be here fishing.........Brrrrr it was cold. Know where I was?...........Wow I see Countee Cullen mentioned up there awesome. I liked the gentleness of this. There was no blast. that is what i liked.

Liz, Curtis and I stopped there on Saturday after going to Alton and it was too cold for the clothes we had on. There was a crisp steady breeze which made it difficult. Thank you.
