Hey everyone! How was your Saturday? I had a bunch of testing this morning. Early. On a Saturday. Ugh.

My blood sugar is running really high tonight, so I'm not sure how long I'll be able to stay on, but I wanted to open a post just in case the "regulars" wanted a place to chat with each other.

I will be here for a while though, so pop in an say hi.

A bit out of it, lol. My blood sugar was high 2 hours after eating dinner so I ate some pie. Doesn't make a lick of sense, but it made me happy.

lol, I took a nap too for like 4 hours, but I'm still pretty tired. What I should do is go for a walk, but that seems like too much effort right now. :o)

Mine was great -- I made seven bucks on surveys and that's above average for Saturday. My brother takes cinnamon for his pre-diabetes; prickly pear extract is also supposed to be good, and gymnema sylvestre helps curb sugar cravings. I think bitter melon is another option. Next week it is supposed to warm up to sixty degrees again, but maybe just for one day. So I guess we've got plenty to occupy ourselves inside! Thanks for posting this!

I take cinnamon too. Never heard of the others though, although it wouldn't hurt to look into it. My doctor insists on treating it with diet.

I walk this late at night all the time, Ariel. My neighborhood is very quiet and safe. I usually take 1 or all 3 of my dogs too.

We don't have street lights here. I wouldnt walk outside at night, even with my dog.

we have lots of street lights. I walk at night a lot in the summer. It gets way too hot here to walk during the day, and sometimes evening it's too hot too.

Pueblo, CO. We're semi-arid. We don't have much humidity, so it's like stepping out into an oven when you go outside.

we took my mom and my husband and I all 3 went to an event called a chili bingo ,have home made chili and home made chicken noodle soup where they have pie and vegies and then they play bingo for Turkeys and turkey hams and different foods they give as prizes.we had fun.

I've lived in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. I don't miss the humidity at all, lol. We went to Galveston, TX for vacation this year. It was like sucking air through a straw it was so humid. Whew!!

Had a fantastic day today. First had 5 of the grandkids, my daughters 5 oldest, she had the baby. We keep Saturday as the Sabbath and not having a church to go to at the moment we have fellowship at home or sometimes with other people in their home. It was rainy day. Hubby had a good warm fire going. We sang some favorite hymns and then the kids wanted to say some special prayers for different people. After that we read the story of Ruth from a children's bible story book and talked about faithfulness, honor of parents and more. It was a great meeting. Then my younger son called and told us that the local community collage was having a folk festival until 7:30 tonight so we took the kids there and had a great time, listening to blue grass, folk, country, blues, jazz, watched Hawaiian dancing, some some African drumming, the kids participated in some reels and folk dances. We got some food and baked good, I sang a song with some fiddlers and banjo and guitar players and a piano player "Red Wings" It was fun and the kids learned of different culture types of music. We also took in a story teller. It was great. Then went out and splurged $13.50 on burgers, fries and shared sodas.

Got up. Drove to work to edit a segment on a Harassment video. Drove back to my apartment. Heated up Pizza Hut pizza. Ate a few slices. Took a nap. Went to my other job. Got home around 12:30am

This has been a yucky day for me. I have been sick all day. And there were some really devastating tornadoes in this part of the state. A ten year old boy and a women were killed and many houses were destroyed.
