I'd love to answer your first question, but you really wouldn't want to hear it, as much as I really shouldn't be telling it. I'm not even sure it's a memory, a true memory at the least.

1. marching in the Martin Luther King marches in the early 60's my Dad and I were the only 2 caucasians there

2. going to a bar, my date said after one drink...I better quit I am starting to feel it, I looked and said yes that is why I drink....obviously we had nothing in common.

3. Dislocated my shoulder last year at the gym, I was on the treadmill and reached up for my water and my shoulder dislocated. The girl next to me on the treadmill almost fainted so I had to help her with my one arm get off the treadmill.

4. Most daring? 5 years in Chicago my sister and I saw 2 people get killed by scafolding falling from the John Hancock bldg. We thought my nephew was hurt (long story) so I went past the police barricade to talk to a fireman...and yes Fox news was there to record it all

5. Dogs

Lamest date: In college I went to see Flowers in the Attic with a guy, then to Wendy's to eat and all he did was talk about himself but maybe that's the worst date

1. When I was 1 or 2 I was watching fireworks in my backyard and cried the whole time because I was so scared.
5.Cats because they are self maintaining. All you got to do is change the litter, feed and water and show some love. They take care of the rest.

Lamest date: Went to a movie with this guy and he never said a word to me. After it was over, he drove me home and I got out of his truck and he took off like a maniac. He never said a word to me the whole night or on the drive home????? Previous to this we had talked on the phone with no problem. Never saw him again, and don't know what his problem was.

Ouch Mark...I sympathize with you..Got hit by one when I was 8 or 9 (Cadillac) lost my front teeth due to it. Yours was much worse!

My lamest date:

I was about 16 yrs old and went on a date with a guy that I had met earlier at the mall. This guy was 19 and I thought I was big stuff. He and I were going to go to the drive in movies to see....who knows....
but when he showed up at my house, he was driving a SCHOOL BUS !!!!!! I soon found out that his car would not start and low and behold, he was a freakin school bus driver so he took the bus.
We went to the drive in and he wanted to sit in the seat with me. I was so appaled that I said "I have to go to the bathroom and get some food" and I went to the concession and called my best friend and her boyfriend and told them to get to the drive in PRONTO and save me.
They showed up and eventually we made up some lame excuse that I should just ride home with my best friend.

NEVER went out with him again.

1. What is your earliest childhood memory? Riding on a plane from Stavanger, Norway to Washington DC for Christmas when I was 4. To date, that's still the best plane ride I've ever had.

2. What was the lamest date you ever went on? I got asked out to go to an expensive steak restaurant and when the bill came he suddenly didn't have his wallet. He curiously found it shortly thereafter to put gas in his own car...

3. What was your most embarrassing moment? I do stupid stuff all the time and embarass myself. I can't think of anything that really stands out.

4. What is the most outrageous thing you have ever done on a dare? I don't generally do dares, if you had my group of friends, you wouldn't either...

5. Prefer Dogs or cats? Cats. I grew up with cats where as we didn't have a dog until I was about 10. I still like dogs and will have one eventually, but only certain breeds.

Most embarassing moment:

I was in the high school marching band. We were at one of our away games and when we were getting off of the busses at the school that we were playing at, apparantly the band director told everyone that since the home team was having Homecoming, we had to shorten up our routine so at the first song, instead of expanding from the center out 20 yards, only go out 5 yards and then proceed with the routine. I was in the lead of the line that I was in and of course I was running my mouth and didn't hear the rules.....

I turned and marched out the 20 yards and when I turned around after marching, I saw the other 100 band members 15 yards back. The people in the stands were all in hysterics laughing at me....OMG......

Somewhere between grades 1 and 3 I was on the playground at school during lunch where there were a bunch of kids in a circle looking at something near the ground. I stepped to th middle of the circle to see what they were looking at. I discovered entirely too late that they were all looking at a hole in the ground that several bees were using as a hive.

Sadly, before I could escape, several bees flew up my pant legs and stung me.

Great questions, Bryan. Dogs or cats? Dogs, definitely dogs. They truly love you unconditionally. All they want in return is to be loved.

2. What was the lamest date you ever went on? Lori Schmit, all she wanted to do was drive around and talk about herself. I took her to her street and left her there, two blocks from her house. She was upset I would not take her further.

3. What was your most embarrassing moment? Telling a beautiful customer, to have a nice day, and said "Thank you, have a nice ass"... I just wanted to die!!!!

4. What is the most outrageous thing you have ever done on a dare? Broke a hole in the ice on a cowpound, and went swimming in the nude. She had to do it also because I did.

Dan R..I just have to say at least your most embarrassing moment was something many guys have fought not to say but always wanted to. The question is...Did she smile or did you get smacked?

1) When I was 3 years old I used to sit on the edge a brick planter built into the corner of the living room of our house with my saddle shoes beside me, waiting for my mother to finish washing the breakfast dishes so she could put on and tie my shoes for me.

5) Dogs because they are more loyal and usually more affectionate than cats and you can do more with them than cats. And my husband is deathly allergic to cats too.

I perfer dogs over cats. They are way more work but well worth it. My dog makes me feel safe and is protective of me and my kids. I love that you can take them for walks (walking a cat would get you strange looks) and you can teach them more tricks ect.

I remember living in Arizona and playing on the floor of a restraunt...there were peanut shells all over the floor....and bells kept going off. I found out years later that the restraunt is Pinicle Peak in Tucson, AZ. I was around 2 at the time.

What was your most embarrassing moment? in 9th grade, the cutest boy in class walked up to me, put his hands on my shoulders, leaned down and whispered in my ear quietly "Laura, your maxi pad is sticking out of the back of your pants" I wanted to D I E. No one else bothered to tell me..I had heard some laughing, but not even my "friends" told me. It was the last day of class thankfully...the teacher wouldn't let me leave so I did anyway..failed the final.

4. What is the most outrageous thing you have ever done on a dare? ummmm....guess i'd have to say I kissed another girl lol...not making out our anything, so get your minds out of the gutter lol

Well, I can only really answer #1 and probably #5. For #1, I remember being a baby in a crib and we were visiting a friend of my mom's house. I remember it being night and hearing other people in the room and noticing the light through the window. As for #5, I prefer cats because they can take or leave being alone and are very affectionate and playful.

Someone said that you really don't remember anything before the age of 5, but I have a lot of memories of my life way before I was 5.

I agree Darlene.. I remember being in my crib watching a train go by and also taking my goldfish (RIP) out of his bowl so we could play.

I agree too...when I was three I also remember making a snowman in the front yard.

When I was two I remember helping my dad "build" our house. I was so proud of myself.. I remember a ton of odds and ends now that I am thinking about it.

2. went out with a haggis right before I met my wife. Had to go to the rest room and while I was gone the girl was giving out her phone number to friends of mine that were in the bar we were at. Needless to say one of the friends gave my the paper she had written her number on. She went home shortly.
3. When I was working I was losing weight...enough that I would had clothing malfunctions. I was walking in the front door my best friend and his girl behind me. Just as I open the door the shorts I am wear slide without notice down to my ankles.. One of those times I am glad I wasnt going commando. Went out and got a belt and some suspenders after that.
4. HAving to think about that one...havent done anything in so long my old age is showing...will come back to that one.
5 Cats.. I always have liked cats better and they have always liked me better.

Most embarrassing moment: When I was around 19 there was a group of us that hung out together. One of the group members was well known for never shutting up. Additional he had very bad teeth due to lack of hygiene. These qualities did little to endear him to us but he grew up with many of us and so was accepted. Behind his back we often referred to him as "Mouth". One weekend my ex and I were moving from one apartment to another and asked family and friends to lend a hand. My dad was helping and had heard of referring to this friend as "Mouth". We explained that his name was Mike but my dad apparently forgot. He did not realize "Mouth" was not a very loving nickname. When Mike came over to help us my dad announced his arrival by yelling to us that "Mouth" was here. I tried to cover it up by whispering to my dad that his name was not "Mouth". Dear dad believing he had gotten the nickname wrong turns to our friend and apologizes stating he got the name wrong and began calling him "mouse". More explanations were needed and Mike did forgive us but I felt like such a heel.

My earliest childhood memory is when I was 3 years old sitting in a high chair in front of a window. I was a hellion and my mom used to stick me in the chair to keep me out of trouble. She had given me an orange and I remember taking it and rubbing it all over the window.

I fell on my face walking out of a job interview!

The dog/cat question is a tough one for me. I used to prefer cats until I became a dog owner. My dogs are gone now and I am back to cats. Cats are way easier to take care of but dogs are so loyal.
My answer is stuffed animals.....sorry but I really do have a stuffed Chihuahua on my desk. He is loyal and doesn't even need to be fed or walked.

What is your earliest childhood memory?

I was about 3 years old and I was outside playing on the swingset. I remember thinking how far I was from my house and how all alone I was. (I really remember this).

I went back to the house as an adult and had to laugh when I saw that the back fence (up against the alley) couldn't have been more than 100 feet from the back door.

I guess distance is relevant to how old you are. To me at 3 yrs old, it was VERY far away.

My earliest memory was my brother telling me that when my mom had my little sister, they were trading me in. lol They always referred to her as the 'new baby' and since I was only 2, my brother convinced me that as the 'old baby' I would be traded in like a car. He was 10. That was also the only time I think my grandma spanked any of us, when I asked her if it was true. She had probably never been so mad at my brother. ;) He had me convinced that my mom and dad would lie about it if I asked them, but he never mentioned my grandma and I knew she wouldn't lie to me.

As far as the pet thing...I have both dogs and cats and there are great things about each one. My dogs are all more loving and listen better, but the cats are a little bit easier to take care of. We have 3 dogs and 2 cats, though, so obviously we love them both.

3. Playing bass drum for the schools marching band in a parade through Disneyland. My foot got caught up in one of the trolley tracks and I went down hard.

Lamest date? Asked out by a guy who took me to a super expensive restaurant and then said - at the end - "should we split it in half or itemise it?". The lame part? He then wanted me to go on a romantic walk on the beach and ...... !

Embarrassing moment? Total misunderstanding when I was 17 and travelling in Avimore (Scotland). I was picked up for prostitution in the snow village because I was walking around in the middle of the night with my King Gees half off looking for a toilet! We got escorted out of the town the next morning by police (after a night in a comfy cell bed!)

2. What was the lamest date you ever went on?

My girlfriends didn't think my boyfriend was good enough so they fixed me up with someone they thought was. He took me to see Woody Allen's Interiors (a serious Woody Allen movie, I thought it was boring) which he loved. He complained because I was eating Milk Duds to loud. Later we went back to my place (I lived in a house with a lot of other people, cheaper than my own apartment) and were talking and he out of the blue just pounced on me. That was our first, and last date. Needless to say I stayed with Seth, he was much nicer. Oh, it was supposed to be as friends so I don't know if it really qualifies as a date.

Bryan, I got Smacked, playfully, she said I deserved that for thinking it. Then a week later she met me after work and we went out. Go figure.
I was much more polite after that. LOL

1. Earliest childhood memory- I was 3 Santa brought me a wooden rocking chair. I was so scared of him I screamed and hid behind the couch.

2. Lamest date- It was with Eric. The beautiful guy that all the girls were dying to go out with. He was beautiful on the outside. I think there was air between his ears though. I can't remember what we did do but I can tell you we did not carry on an intelligent conversation.

3. Most embarrassing moment- I went to the bathroom in the mens room instead of the womens rest room. This was in our little cafe at work. I did it right in front of a customer who asked me if I like it better. Every where else the womens rest room is on the right. Except in the cafe, they were reversed. I was in a hurry and didn't look.

4. Most outragous thing. I have never been dared to do anything. My husband and I use to get super VIP tickets to the US Nationals (drag races). I went to the rest room and on my way back to our seats I got turned around. I was walking right out on to the strip it's self. A guard stopped me and asked if this is really where I wanted to be. I told him where I was trying to go and he did point in the right direction. He also told me with the tickt I had, he couldn't have stopped me if I had wanted to go out and stand on the Christmas tree. Those were the days.

5. Dogs They don't shed, and they show you love all the time. Not just on their turms.

I am a dog person, have 3 that I love as much as my kids. I had a cat once, it was the spawn of satan. Cats don't really like me for some reason although I really have nothing against them. But I have only been around a handful that were truly sweet natured and loving.

- I was still a toddler, sitting on Daniel's lap in our car. He was smoking a cigarette and I had a little match box car I liked to play wtih. He blew smoke into the back fo the car, and pushed it along the dash board, so it made it look like the car had smoke coming out of the back.

- When I was fifteen, my first one. I won't go into details, it just sucked in general.

3. What was your most embarrassing moment?
- When I was in highschool, I was talking to my crush and ended up walking right into one of the front beams of the school.

- Nothing really, never played the game much.

my earliest memory comes from when I was 4 and we were in florida to go to disney world with my parents and grandparents. I remember walking through an orange grove and feeling the ground move under my feet. I said MOM waht is that the ground is moving right aroudn the time my grandma started yelling something about snakes and my dad grabbed me up and we all ran for the car scared but laughing.

Most embarrassing moment. - maybe I won't post that one on second thought! Too embarrassing. Well here's the picture small indian reservation, middle of no where, pit stop, small one person bathroom in behind small building wooden door doesn't lock, line of people waiting to use it, sister tells me to "squat" and to not sit on seat for sanitary reasons then deserts me as she walks back to car, guy walks in while i'm (you know squatting) and peeing. Funny part- He gets so embarrased that he puts his hand up to cover his eyes and runs into the door trying to get out of the small "outhouse thing". He tries the door several times and finally exits the bathroom cubicle!

Anyway! Pretty funny and embarrasing I had to walk out of the bathroom and back to my car past the guy. While I passed he said with a smile "Sorry again about that" I just kinda said "it's alright" and smiled and hurried to the car where I chewed my sister out for not staying by the door to guard it!

paying it forward

My earliest memory was of going to the hospital with my grandmother to see my newborn baby brother. In my almost 4 year old mind, he laughed when we were viewing him. My next memory is going to the same place with my father and my new baby brother didn't laugh for him.

As a pet, I prefer cats over dogs, but like having both. As a petsitter, I'd rather work with those needy dogs than have to win over discriminating cats.
