Heliotrope Bouquet (Rainbow Connection's New Color of the Week)

I know it's winter, and the sky is gray.

I know that springtime seems far, far away...

Yes, there'll be snow -- or already is -- but please don't Mope...

I hope my Heliotrope Bouquet will help you cope!

Heliotrope... a pink-purple tint that mystifies...

A baffling, subtle color that can really inspire...

It really isn't purple, and it sure "ain't" pink...

If you still can't "see" it, here's a helpful link!

You'll see a great deal of it, once you start to look...

In misty, moonlit places... in the garden, or by a brook.

Yes, heliotrope really is quite nice, and it sure is pretty...

You'll have fun looking (if you can forgive my attempt to be witty).

So Heliotrope on down to Rainbow Connections... it's the color of the week!

Yes, Heliotrope is queen... it's the color you should seek.

I think of heliotrope as a flower- I have grown it before and love how the rich intensely purple blossoms smell- the plant is much more of a brilliant royal purple. It's interesting that the color name refers to a color that has so much pink in it! This will be a cheery week with photos of this color!

I think it's the color I painted some of my son's warrior elves once. He was most offended as it wasn't at all the color he'd intended. (They're a different color now.)

My dear aunt, recently deceased, loved heliotrope! It smells to me to be a combintion of grapes and baby powder. Lovely in the garden with enough water!
