Trying something new tomorrow!

Hello All,
My husband and I are trying something new tomorrow. We are taking our son to a movie theater to see Madagascar 2. He is really excited about it and has been telling his grandparents that he is going to a movie. I think our son will like it and it will be funny. However, he has never been to a movie theater before. He is almost 3. Do you think we can make it through the movie without problems? I am planning on getting popcorn for extra distraction if needed. Does anyone have any words of advice? I would really appriciate it because I don't want to be the mom that brought her child to a full movie and had them acting out.

Best of luck I'm not really sure. My best friend has told me that she has taken her oldest son when he was almost 3 and told him if he acted up to much they would have to leave for a time out. My sister hasn't taken her daughter Hanna did. My mom took her and she said she did pretty good. She just asked questions about the movie a few times other then that she did ok. Of course it was last year when she was 5.

I really hope that we make it through alright. Some days he is an angel and others, I am not even sure he came from me. Ha Ha Ha!

I think each kid is different, but you know your child best. :) Just make sure it's not a movie you would be upset if you miss parts of it. :)

He should be alright...just make sure you go to an early movie....and bring in some little snacks, like crackers.

He should be alright. We took my granddaughter at 2 and there's something about that big screen in front of them that just grabs their attention. Other kids in the theater acted up but not her.
