My sister has been struggling for some time now and has three children and recently got a divorce from the father of her two oldest children ages 5 and 2. They will soon be 6 and 3 in the following months after this year. She also has a newbie only 3 months old. She has been depressed and finally got approved for government housing. My Mom took her some TV dinners for the children (Cruisine, I think) and within a week or two, my Mom goes back down there, seeing them in the freezer still and asks my sister "What did you eat?" She looked at Mom and said "Nothing, I saved them for the kids."
Now if that isn't a good mother, what is? Putting her children first. She has been depressed. It makes me want to cry, to see my sister go hungry. She has applied for food stamps all over and told them her card was stolen by a previous friend of her ex-husband and her and they told her, the replacement card would take 10-14 days, so she has been waiting and waiting.
I want to fill her shelves, cabinets, fridge.....
What are the basic items she would need?
So far, I have milk, cheese, eggs, noodles, but I don't want to forget anything. Let's turn this into a game and make a difference in helping my sister.
*** Name anything on a grocery list, mainly food and related items ***
For ex. Milk and Cheese
