Hello one and all
Was it you I used to know
Can't you hear me call
On this old ham radio
All I got to say
I'm alive and feeling fine
If you come my way
You can share my poison wine
CHORUS:
No marigolds in the promised land
There's a hole in the ground
Where they used to grow
Any man left on the Rio Grande
Is the king of the world
As far as I know
I don't want your bread
I don't need your helping hand
I can't be no savage
I can't be no highwayman
Show me where you are
You and I will spend this day
Driving in my car
Through the ruins of Santa Fe
CHORUS
I'm reading last year's papers
Although I don't know why
Assassins cons and rapers
Might as well die
If you come around
No more pain and no regrets
Watch the sun go brown
Smoking cobalt cigarettes
There's no need to hide
Taking things the easy way
If I stay inside
I might live til Saturday

Of salads and sun
Only a fool would say that
A boy with a plan
A natural man
Wearing a white stetson hat
Unhand that gun begone
There's no one to fire upon
If he's holding it high
He's telling a lie
I heard it was you
Talkin' 'bout a world
Where all is free
It just couldn't be
And only a fool would say that
The man in the street
Draggin' his feet
Don't wanna hear the bad news
Imagine your face
There is his place
Standing inside his brown shoes
You do his nine to five
Drag yourself home half alive
And there on the screen
A man with a dream
Anybody on the street
Has murder in his eyes
You feel no pain
And you're younger
Then you realize
Thanks for the memories, Esther!!!!!!!
I heard the sound of voices in the night,
Spell bound there was someone calling,
I looked around no on was sight
Pulled down I just kept on falling
I've seen this place before
You were standing by my side
I've seen your face before tonight
Maybe I just see what I want to be
I know it's a mystery
Do you remember me on a street of dreams,
Running through my memory
On the street of dreams
There you stood a distant memory
So good like we never parted
Said to myself I knew you'd set me free
And here we are right back where we started
Something's come over me
And I don't know what to feel
Maybe this fantasy is real
Now it's still a mystery
Do you remember me on a street of dreams,
Running through my memory
On the street of dreams
You are on every face I see
On the street of dreams
Tell me have you always been
On the street of dreams
Will we ever meet again my friend
Do you know just who you'll see do ya
On the street of dreams
You can be who you want to be oh yeh
I can hear you calling me
I can feel you haunting me
Haunting me
Good stuff.
I was in the mood to reflect and think and thought of this song and I found this particular video with this song and was shocked that it fit my thoughts so perfectly.
I really appreciate your taking the time to visit me John. ;)
It was Ross Perot that paid to have the kidnapped to be rescued. That I do know for sure as my Dad was recruited by Ross Perot and E.D.S. the year before he retired from the Army to go work for him.
There is no way that I think that we can let our guard down with the enemy. There are too many who would love to come into our country and take over control.
"I'm very concerned not only about our enemies from without, but I can't believe the hatred and animosity that is still going on here within."
I can believe it and also believe that it will get a lot worse before it ever gets better...mark my words.
You are right about the Star Wars deal. Bad bombs are coming from all directions. I would hope and pray that those who should keep them and not use them lest it be the end of us all.
I hear you about the fears you have for our new President.
Thanks!
"This would be the perfect time for someone to wipe us off the face of the earth with us fussing about the new president."
EXACTLY my point.
