Yesterday was rainy, so the only two outdoor pictures that I got was this one out of my windshield and . . .
. . . this next one, taken in front of the museum and city hall in my itty bitty home town (actually taken when we went by to check out the voting lines).
But today turned out to be pretty glorious. I'll admit, this next shot was taken by my husband. The cardinals and jays come to the feeder earlier than I usually get up. I am going to try in the morning, but . . . it's doubtful.

I basically took this next shot for perspective, but if you are looking for a hardy plant to put under windows to prevent burgulars, this is it. You can't kill them (the plant), but if you get too close, you might think they are trying to kill you.

There were still some overcast skies today like in the next shot, but they made a pretty picture. In fact I got some other really_cool_cloud_shots today. The sun was definitely making an appearance, however.
I know I take a lot of shots in this next location, but it is my reading spot . . . my favorite spot, and it is pretty year round.

Moving right acroos the yard, we find my holly tree. The berries don't manifest every year, but this year it looks like I will have some pretty greenery for my mantles and railings.

Next to the holly, I have a confused tree. I can't decide if I want to call this next one "Identity Crisis" or "Dare to be Different" or "Stand out in the Crowd." What do you think?

Moving from my own yard, I snagged the next two shots from a couple of my neighbors' yards. I am still enjoying the fall colors around here.

Then, my favorite and final nature shot of the day is of this little guy preparing for winter. Notice the acorn in his mouth.

Then my favorite little guy arrived, Nana's darling, and in I went with full brio and willingness to end my little walk about. I think grandbabies will always be the most beautiful part of my day.

But alas, I had to run across the river and teach a class so my walk about was definitely done for the day. I did, however, get a few drive_by_shots on the way if you want to check them out.
I hope you enjoyed sharing my day. As always, may God bless you.
As I always say, despite what may come, we live in a beautiful world . . . if we are looking for it.
