My American husband and I listened to a very static-filled Detroit station from my Guelph Ontario basement apartment, then we found a Canadian news station that carried the American election (wonder if any American stations carried the recent Canadian election?) and we heard the WHOLE THING!! Congratulations to you, and good work.

Bruce and I are so very proud of you and your family. You brought integrity to the process and restored faith and hope. As I took care of patients last night at the hospital, I watched the process while going from room to room. In our little hallway there were shouts and tears, smiles and laughter. Some had looks of sadness/frustration but all seemed to agree that the nation had spoken loudly. It was a representation of the nation right there in the hospital. When my shift was over, I called everyone I could to share the joy. You have our welfare on your heart and please know that we have your welfare on our hearts too. You have our prayers and our support, our resources and our gifts, our love and our gratitude. I share with Kathy in asking "What would you like us to do?" It will take us all and we are a big part of the all. Bruce is a retired Physical Therapist. With the demands of his hospital work done, he manages our farm and is building his business as an artist. I am a full time RN and also an artist and a writer. How can we help? Keep us posted, we are waiting for your direction but while we wait, we send our blessings.

I am so relieved and happy. FINALLY! Okay, now, FIX THINGS! LOL! People were running around screaming in the streets when it was announced last night.

The people have spoken and I am so glad to have been part of the voice for change.

I was so relieved when I saw the results. As a future American citizen I was heartened to see that my adopted country could rise above the rhetoric and falsehoods to make the right choice.

You probably didn't see me, but I saw you in Springfield, Missouri a few days ago.

I'm very happy to have you as my president.

I believe in you, Obama, and voted for you because of the character and intelligence you have shown, the patience and the clear understanding of the complexities of your situation. You've used them to get to a place where you can help this country recover, fix what's broken. I believe that you worked for this office for this purpose.

I am not through supporting you and will do all I can to continue to help you in those plans, but I also caution you. We have entrusted you with our hopes and dreams. Take good care of them.

I got this too, and even though I knew it was sent out to thousands, I still smiled and felt special and like I played a part in the victory.

The last time I felt this energized and excited for America was when we watched a man set foot on the moon.

This morning, there was a sense of joy in every person I met: a brighter smile, a stirring of hope, an anticipation of better days ahead, all because we saw America wake up and take action.

Lead on. We are ready for the journey.

Congratulations, President Obama. I've always believed in the democratic spirit of this country (which, like for Kathleen, is an adopted country for me). Yesterday proved that I was right and America can once again be a beacon of hope for the world.

Congratulations, you sure are an impressive family with high ideals and hopes ... I just hope that you are able and willing to do what you represented yourself to stand for ... I am not yet convinced that you are not just another pawn unwittingly being manipulated as we all have been for eons by the really big money interests that really pulls the strings to all such things ... best wishes ... naturally.

Awesome video, awesome message. It's great to be witnessing this movement of people who want to search for a better way of life for everybody, in a place we recognize as the Melting Pot. A place that has always been a beacon of hope. It all starts right here, one person at a time, and we must all get involved in this movement, and keep the message alive, so that the powers that be don't ever steal it from Barack or from us.

I still revel in the glory of all this, and our group, Haverhill For Obama, is still together to answer your call for community volunteerism. We've held 2 food banks, a clothing drive, an historical park clean-up, and our 1st "Green Summit" which was a great success!
