I think I have lost my mucous plug!
Yesterday, as you all may know by reading my Update on Halee article, you will know that the doctor did an amnio-fluid test, sent me home and is wanting me to come back within a few days (which will be tomorrow)!
I am excited about this delivery, but am also concerned about the child being Breech and it being dangerous I'm only estimated at 35 weeks, 4 days pregnant and clearly, 37 weeks is the safe zone for delivery.
So anyway, I think yesterday, I lost my mucous plug. Previously, having lots of discharge, yesterday, I had a yellow snot looking stringy-like looking on toilet paper. Today again, when wiping, I had this happen again. I'm about to call my OB/GYN and aware him and my nurse about this, but I'd also like to ask other women and men their experiences with their women.
At about, When or how many weeks do you expect to lose the mucous plug? And, did it look yellow-like or snot looking? I hear some experiences are different, but with being 35 week range, is this normal? And does the water break soon after? And usually when you lose your mucous plug, do you expect to deliver within the first week or two after? I had one pregnancy recently before this, but I just can't remember and wanted to know everyone's experiences on the matter. I also will call my doctor and compare my feedback. THANK YOU!

I haven't had a baby in over 33 years
Discuss it with your OB. However, s/he'll probably tell you that discharge is a common side-effect of some vaginal tests, and membrane stripping can cause bleeding and discharge as well (and it's kinda gross in my opinion...)
But talk with your OB about it - better safe than sorry!
35 weeks and breech is a concern, but your baby might still turn. I think 36 or 37 weeks is where they starting thinking about a scheduled c-section, but those numbers change based on so many things, it's yet another question to ask your OB...
Congratulations on your upcoming screaming hungry joy! :-D
How big do think the baby is now?
At 35 weeks I would not worry to much. Just call your doctor and see if he would like to check you out.
I had all three of my kids at 8 months. They all came out looking normal and healthy weights. My teen is taller than my husband and isn't done growing yet. His feet is humugous.
I can remember when I lost my first mucus plug. I had no clue what it was. I asked my neighbor and he told me. But said it was nothing as I was not due til after his was. Guess what!! My baby was born first!!
I hope you've talked to your nurse by now!
Just wanted to say real quick that you should monitor the fluid that comes out because sometimes when your water breaks it isn't a huge gush like in the movies. It can be a very slow trickle and you might not even notice it. It's highly recommended that your baby is delivered within 24 hours once your water breaks so if you feel 'odd' in any way, please contact your doctor.
