Someone made a hateful post in a last ditch effort it seems to smear our newly elected President-Elect Barack Obama, bringing up his birth certificate issue saying he's not an American Etc.
And I humbly posted a little informational factiod.
I guess people would rather spew ignorance than hear truth.
This is what I said:
"To be a Natural born citizen, all you need is for one parent to be a citizen of the United States. American law is set up that if you are born outside of the U.S. - and at least one of your parents is an American citizen then that makes you an American Citizen by birth.
Take for Example our Service men and Women who go overseas and abroad to protect our freedom, sometimes their family has to go with them and they live in on base housing. well if You're pregnant while serving or you get your wife pregnant. and that baby is born overseas..legally by law that baby is still an American citizen.
Same thing for that pregnant couple who want to take that dream European vacation before parenthood takes full effect. if you go into labor in another country and have a baby there it is still considered an American citizen.
So even if Obama Wasn't born in Hawaii, as long as his mother was an American Citizen, as it is believed that she is. Then legally by American Laws...Obama is considered a natural born citizen."
Here is a little tid bit of information, John McCain was born outside of the United States. as a Point of Fact, he was born in the Panama Canal Area when his father was stationed there for the Navy.
While we're on the subject of this current election:
I humbly ask those Critical of Obama to give him a shot, after all if McCain won I would have given him the benefit of the doubt.
he's barely been elected 12 hours and already people are critical. He hasn't even been sworn in yet. Let Barack Obama bring the Change he promised to this great land. Why are you so afraid of reversing the failed policies of the last 8 years and restoring America's image as a well oiled competitive machine? Why are you so afraid of Affordable Health Care? and Jobs? and Economic Growth and Security? Barack Obama will bring this country together. As he has said before there is no Liberal States of America, No Conservative States Of America, No Black States of America, No White States of America. There is only these UNITED STATES of America. so to those who doubt, I humbly ask you to let President-Elect Obama be the change that this country desperately needs right now. YES WE CAN!

Just let it go. It's to be expected, because their candidate did not win. The McCain supporters may still be in a state of shock.

Let it go. Eventaully they will see the change happen and will not be able to say much of anything.. unless it isnt true.
When they start saying TRUE things about Obama, then i will worry.. Has Obana ever "experimented" with cocain? did he have a C average all through college? Did he run a BUNCH of companies into the ground before his 30th birthday?
So the lies they make up are JUST to piss you off and JUST to make themselves feel better.. Dont let it get to ya.
Kudos for making your own post though. No need to let other people sensor you. Just post as you would.

Your comment above was well-reasoned, respectful and informative. Unfortunately, there are those that only wish to be wrapped in a cocoon of their own views and beliefs. Therefore, they will moderate comments or limit commenting to only their friends (while still publishing the content to the entire community). Ultimately these actions only end up working against them in the community.
So, the goals of both the President and President-elect are laudable. How one gets to those goals is where the problems begin.
