We have a new President of the United States of America.
At 11:00pm EST it was announced that with 284 Electoral Votes, Barack Obama has been announced as America's new president.
The votes are still rolling in, but the deciding vote is made when the Electoral Votes reach 270 for either party.
At the same time McCain had 146 votes.
I am proud to be an American, I am proud to be a 28 year old woman in this country right now. I am simply proud to be able to say I have witnessed history in the making.
By the way as I type this (it is 11:16pm EST) the newest vote rating is 306 Obama, 146 McCain, still with votes to come in.
What are your thoughts, did you vote for the new president? If our new president was to read this article what would you love to say or ask him?

Thank you for your comment.
Honestly I didn't like either choice; but was ready for Bush to leave. It will be interesting how history will write about him in twenty years.
Blessings
I was in Nevada until either November 3, or November 4 -- I have forgotten now -- working in that yellow State for Obama. I returned to a mess of everything. STILL haven't cleaned it all up -- still have about 200 email from high school friends that I haven't touched -- oh Brother, what they must think of me.
Now what about this to keep for your post . . .
