about the prison and justice systems. So, I have to ask, do you believe in the death penalty? Why or why not? If so, who do you think it should be applied to??
I have to say that I do believe in it for rapists, child molesters, and murderers. Enough said. These people are losers and incapable of being rehabilitated in my opinion.

There are too many times that you hear about innocent people being on death row, or actually found out they might be innocent after they've been executed.
And quick appeal processes, the way the justice system is right now the cost for an inmate on death row is more than one with life in prison with no hope of parole.
Mooch
Thanks.
The latest: new: Jewel and sand of time*:
For a few select crimes I am in favor of it though. But those crimes would be for something particularly henious or for the killing of a law enforcement officer, fire fighter, nurse, doctor, minister, etc while in the performance of their jobs.
When the death penalty is asked for by the victim(s) or their family then they should be the ones to push the button, the plunger or throw the lever. And it should be done in a public venue, not behind closed prison walls at midnight. If we're going to mete out justice in the name of every citizen then the citizen should be able to see what's being done in their name.
As for past people convicted. Alot are being over turned as it was before DNA testing was avaible. I am glad these people are getting out. I am glad DNA has been so improved upon that we can convict someone without a shadow of a doubt now.
