Chick-Fil-A Bailed Out

Chick-Fil-A was supposed to give away a free chicken sandwich to people who have voted today. I went to Chick-Fil-A tonight, and they had a sign on the door saying that they stopped the program because it was against the law.

I called my husband about my disappointment, and he said the news was actually talking about it. Starbucks and other stores are still doing it. Starbucks said that as long as the store did not require the customer to show proof of voting, then it's perfectly legal.

So, it looks like Chick-Fil-A doesn't know what they are doing.  I wish I had gone there during lunch before they stopped the program.

They've always been like that. We had a Chik-fil-a on campus and they were always ripping students off by not taking coupons and stuff.

Well that is not good business! I have been hearing that all day too. They should keep to their word.

On the flip side, perhaps people were abusing it and coming back again and again, trying to get the freebie? But that wouldn't explain saying it was against the law. Not sure what their reasoning was but sorry you didn't get it.

the chick-fil-a's here in Pensacola said that they never heard from corporate any confirmation that this promo was anything other than a rumor. the lady at the one i went to obviously felt bad that people were being hoodwinked by the rumor mill and they gave me a large ice tea for free to make up for it.

i didn't go into the krispy kreme cause the line there was 3 times as long as half the polling locations.

I bet they realize they were loosing way to much money and stopped their promo. Sucks that they did that. Hopefully next time they are smart enough to place a limit on how many free things they will give out.
