about what our favorite thing about newborns and young babies are.  One of my favorite things is when you are nursing them and they look up at you and smile.  It is just so adorable and gives you such a good feeling.

What is your favorite thing about newborns or very young infants?? There are just so many things to love about them...they are precious in everyway.

the light in their eyes...when they wrap their hand around your finger...how their little bodies curl up in a ball when they sleep...their yawns...those little pouty lips...oh sigh I gotta get out of this conversation..they are so precious...

Oh where to begin? That trusting look of love in their eyes as they gaze up at you . . . babies don't turn away or avert their eyes. They look right at you shamelessly and without fear -- it's a shame we all outgrow that.

The way they each have their unique little quirks, like my daughter loves to play a game where she sticks out her tongue at you and you do it back -- her older siblings LOVE this one, believe me!

I LOVE the baby smell. I love that moment when a baby first looks at me and I know they know it's ME, not just some random person. I love holding them - talk about unconditional love. I love that their needs are simple and easily (though loudly) communicated. I love that first smile that's an actual smile (and it happens sooner than science would have us believe). I love the way a baby touches my face when I'm holding him/her.

I could go on and on. I just love babies! I even love babies of all kinds, though human babies are my favorite kind.

Oh, there're so many things to love about babies! Their smell is the first thing that comes to my mind. Especially, when their little neck is damp after they've just wakened.
