I'm not into mysteries at all, but I do real Tony Hillerman's novels set within the Navajo Naiton. I have visited the area many times, but not in a while. I really like that area and would like to go back and visit many times in the future, but can't right now. Every time I read one of Hillerman's novels, I really begin to miss that area and want to go back.

There have been a few adaptations to TV, too. There's still one actor I always think of as his book name.
Yeah, Elizabeth, there have been three adaptations for TV on his books. They picked actors that looked exactly like how I pictured them. Chee was a little heavier than I expected, though, but still good looking. I mostly pictured Chee looking like this one really handsome Navajo police officer that I saw while on the reservation one time and he was on the thin side.
