I voted early, as did a whole lot of people in my area. We had waiting times of 2.5 to 4 hours... I have been avoiding the news today, so I don't know how it's going now. But I am so thrilled to see such a voter turnout! I'll be glad when it's over, though. It's been an ugly season. Our local politicians were a lot more negative than the presidential candidates, in some cases.

I went in at 8AM and was done iin 15 minutes.

Voting in a church, that would really bother me. Something wrong about that.

I think about 40 minutes. Voter turn out in my township looks excellent. I came in at 4:00 so it would be busy, but according to the poll scanner it had been busy all day. We had paper ballots and an optical ballot scanner this time. No sticker this time around. I was actual looking forward to getting one and posting it on here, so that was a bit of bummer.

It took me 45 minutes here, but that's much better than the 4 + hour wait people endured in my area of Cobb County to vote early.

I went to vote a little after 9am, was in and out in under 10 mins.
I too have thought for a long time that voting in a church seemed wrong. Oklahoma is the first state I've lived in where I voted in a church annex. Usually it's schools or public locals.

I mailed mine in early and it went OK. :) Our city has a website you can check to see if it was received and I checked it the other day and everything was as it should be.

In this part of town, all the polling places seem to be churches. However, in other parts of neighboring towns that I have lived in here, I voted at Publix and also at an elementary school. I don't care where I vote just as long as I can vote. 'Sides, this is the bible belt south. So it figures it was in a church.

We vote in a church too, which I find completely strange and wrong. It's probably like a mile away from where we live. We usually never have to wait at all, or maybe all of five minutes while the people ahead of us vote. This year was really no different. We waited maybe 15 minutes. The voting process was smooth and easy as usual. We have the touch screens too. The ballot was short and I was finished in probably two minutes. Easy. As usual it was raining though.

My sister-in-law and I went to vote about 2:00 and had not wait but hubby got there about 4:30 and had to wait 45 minutes. I think lots of people got off work early to vote and therefore it took longer later in the day. (He went by at 7:00 and said the vehicles were lined down the street for two blocks so he decided to go back later in the afternoon...for our small town we had the largest turnout for voting in any election)!!
