Question about my camera

My kids and hubby are the techy people .... I only know how to take the pictures with my digitial camera. LOL I can't even load them onto my computer. They do it for me. Now I'm what you call a tech dummy!

What model is it? I can look it up on Steve's Digicams and see what it does. Note how in my avitar pic I used my guitar to hide my belly. :)

It came with a flash drive? not a SD Card or Compact Flash, xd card??? Flash drives can hold alot of info on them.

This is what I found...it uses a memory stick- you insert the memory stick in the slot for it, take your pictures...then take the memory stick ..insert into your computer if it has that slot and you can download the photos and clear the stick and reuse it. If your computer does not have it , you can also download using the camera's software and wires or buy a card reader and use that in your computer.

Now it also could have come with a bonus flash drive , which is different from the memory stick..that is something you insert into one of USB ports and store photos on. Which can free up memory on your computer.

I hope I explained this ok...I am not great with explaining!

I just have a cheap digital camera right now. I don't even know how to use it fully yet. Sorry, I cannot help you with this.

I know what a flash drive is, but am curious as to why your camera would come with one. Was it a bonus freebie or something?

not sure might be like a floppy disc and saves pictures to put on computer.

I couldn't find any info on Steve's Digicams or Sony's web site. Donna H. has the info on flash drives and which memory card you should have covered. I hope someone didn't sell you a flash drive when you needed a memory stick.

flash drives make it easy to move data (pictures and documents) from computer to computer more easily. They also let you put your photos on it and then take them along and copy them onto grandma's computer etc. Think of it like a disc with lots more storage!
