I will never understand why McCain picked Palin!? She's got no clue about essential issues that a politician on a national and international stage should know....

It's a mystery to many of us Savo. But you can bet that it was a calculated move. More than likely they hoped to get the Hillary supporters and the ultra-conservatives.

That's exactly my thoughts on why McCain picked Palin. I don't think it was his choice either. I think he was a victim of bad advice.

My nephew writes for the SLC Trib Matthew LaPlante. He supports Obama as we do. He is a brilliant writer and a very compelling man. SLC Trib rocks!

I saw this on yahoo news this morning, and just smiled. I was saying landslide long before the pundits hinted at it, and even before Obama said not to get over confident. I just knew. A candidate doesn't draw that kind of crowd to every event plus that much in donations if the majority is not behind him. I don't know where they are getting their polls this year, but they don't reflect the mood of the nation. Actually, I think they've kept the polls looking so even just to keep folks watching the thing unfold.

Obama taking down the Clinton machine pretty much convinced me that McCain had no chance. It might have been closer had he chosen Romney, so I'm actually glad he chose Palin.

Kat, I too was amazed and delighted. But I'm seeing more of these every day. The Chicago Tribune, which has never before endorsed a Democrat, has endorsed Obama.

Maybe the country is coming to its senses, finally. I saw an interesting interview in which Cindy said she had John had been discussing Ms. Paling for quite a long time before he endorsed her and Cindy thought she was the ideal running mate for him. Long time was not defined.
