My Christmas wish

My wish doesn't involve physical gifts. For me, the perfect Christmas would to have a dinner with all four of my girls present, my mother & sister once again alive, my father, brother and older sister. Also to have my niece and her children, my nephew and his kids all together once more for a nice Christmas dinner and a game of cards afterwards..

Christmas has not been the same for me since 1986. The family is all splintered, living in different parts of the country. I do get to see most  "everyone" that is alive , but I never get to see them all at the same time.

I am so tired of not having the holidays with my blood family members. In this day and age families aren't what they used to be. Everyone is scattered, everyone is in their own bubble.

When my mother died on Dec 8th 1986 , the entire family split apart. She was the glue. All of us always had the holidays together. Now my girls are grown, off on their own in different parts of the country. I haven't seen my sister since July 2007, my brother since 2004. My other sister passed away in 2005.

I told my sister that I want the whole family together for Christmas. Forgot presents, who cares. Good food, laughs and precious memories are what is needed. If anything for presents...go to the dollar store and let's get something funny to give to each other and have a good laugh.
