My friend's husband is long-term subbing for a 1st grade classroom- the teacher just had a baby. He was going through some of the assignments, and one of the kids wrote a poem (learning rhyming) about a Deer drinking Beer. Then for another one, a kid wrote that what he wants to be for Halloween is a pyro, and he drew a picture of himself with flames all around, and everything else set on fire.

HAHAHA reminds of when my daughter has to do an in-class report. ( We live near Detroit and drove through it one day) She was in 3rd grade it think. She said people were aiming guns at her and her mom. Now this did not happen but it was not funny when the teacher called and asked what kind of dangerous situations I was putting my daughter in. All we did was drive through Detroit...on the freeway!

Worse thing i remember is my brother told his teacher daddy hit, really he fell off the jungle gym but he liked to blame other people for his mistakes. :-)

My daughter just had to write a Halloween story for school and the teacher said no blood. So what does my daughter do but write about "flesh-eating" zombie princesses! THAT one came up at the parent-teacher conference. God help me. LOL.

When I worked as a teachers' aide at my girls' elem. school, all the kids wrote letters to Santa and a certain classrooms would be printed in the newspaper. One little 2nd grade boy told Santa that all he wanted for Christmas was for his dad to stop drinking beer. I bet dad was REALLY embarrassed because he is pretty well known around town. LOL

I've worked with kids from birth to 12 for years. It's amazing what they say. I don't recall any bad pictures though.
