Summer is over and I realize there will be no more, going to the beach or water parks. Next few months we would be probably just home a lot, watching movies , cooking ,baking and geting stuff ready for christmas.
When I was a kid, this time of year and specialy Christmas was the best for playing a board games or cards with my brother. I had such a great memories from this time of year and that's why I was thinking about finding some games for me and my husband so we could spend some more fun time together. But the problem is, I have no idea what kind of games are out there, so if you can help, it will be appreciated.
There is just one problem : My husband doesn't like any kind of word games, so is there some kind of stratgey games or some other kinds of games you like to play with your boyfriend or husband?

My husband and I love to play scrabble, and sometimes we'll pay rummy. We've both been to exhausted lately though...there is just something about having kids that make you tired:)
I believe having kids make you tired, we don't have any yet, so plenty time here :)
Trailer Park Wars and Redneck Life are both hilarious and fun board games to play.
We play Munchkin and all its spinoffs I.E. munchin impossible with spys, super munchkin with superheroes, Munchkin Bites with vampires etc. This is a card game where your object is to get to level 10 first and play cards to help yourself and prevent others from doing it before you. You get cards that provide a bonus to your point level that are "armor", weapons, footgear etc that you "dress" your munchkin in to help his level and the sarcasm on them is HILARIOUS. We let our kids play too cause most of the jokes go right over their heads. Like the "kneepads of allure" which when played forces anyone you want to help you to have to help you. It is a lot of fun and laughs.
We also like the card game Fluxx, Chrononauts, Crack the Case and tons of other ones too. If you get a bigger group together "are you a werewolf" is a lot of fun.
We go to Origins Game Fair in Columbus Ohio every June they have all kinds of games from dice, card, and board, to role playing and miniature building and they are all cool to see the new stuff people are coming out with.
My next game purchase will be the game EVIL TED by steve jackson games it looks fun. i also want Ninja Burger and their Lord of the Fries zombie game too.
Take a peek at the steve jackson games website and there will be links to other gamesites as well. Also check out the Looney Labs site, they have fluxx online and you can try a watered down version of it there before buying.
Good luck to you. There are a lot of fun and FUNNY games out there for every taste. We literally saw several hundred of them last JUNE.
Let me know if you enjoy any of the ones i recommended!
Good luck and have fun.
