Today's Mystery Shop

    I am so glad it's finished!  I am not supposed to divulge the details of the assignment or I would. I can tell you that it is supposed to pay $7 with a reimbursement of $10.   I have another assignment in the next week.  I think I will be less nervous next time. It won't be at the same location, but it's the same retailer. I just hope they do better than the location today did.  There aren't that many "shops" available in this area with this particular site, so this is not going to be a regular thing.  It was an interesting experience though.

I tried to be a secret shopper, but they kept giving me assignments that required me driving an hour and a half! Def not worth it for me.

Glad you had a good experience. I used to have one retailer that I did regularly. Once a month I did a cleanliness shop and once a month a customer service shop. After about the 3rd time, the mystery shopping company told me I was too picky about the cleanliness. We certainly disagreed about that. I went into the women's restroom and could not believe the mess. Sure the customers made the mess. But I doubt anyone had the checked the restroom in 8 hours or more.

I'm glad it wasn't too bad for you. I just didn't have what it took to do what they asked me to. It will get easier I'm sure.

I'm glad the shop went well. I agree with you, the more you do it, the less nervous you will be. It's cool that you already have another assignment! Good luck with that one. :)

I hope it works out for you. Some of these sites don't pay off and not only are you out the promised money for doing the shop, but you're left holding the "shopping" bag! I would echo Merrim's comment about the gas money. Hopefully you can squeeze the mystery shops into your regular routine and not have to drive a lot of extra miles.
