The Fever Begins...

I signed up for my first christmas exchange, the shelves are fillin up at the stores....

and people are calling my work place looking for layway.....

CHRISTMAS IS UPON US!!!!!

Though I still haven't found my way to Thanksgiving Pumpkin pie.....

Black Friday looms a mere month away.....

I don't have big fancy Holiday Gatherings....spent a few to many years at work ON the holidays away from family and friends....

and with my move back to the country, I downsized and got rid of my real love....MOST of my christmas decor....

I might have enough space by this christmas to put a tree up....

but if not...I have the whole of the outdoors to do....last year I used all natural decorations that I made my self..

Lou, You're about 5 days early for me. I can't think of Santa and Reindeer until McSame and Caribou are off scope. I'll come back on Wednesday, next week. In the meantime, you already KNOW what our christmases are like at the house.

This is our 2nd year with our 3 adopted boys. We are planning on a much smaller and more simple Christmas this year. We plan on baking cookies more and just laughing and spending time with each other.

you know what I am ready for....going through all these "gifts" I have purchased throughout the year....and figuring who they go to.....LOL....
and I think...I amgona try to make some bookmarks out of material thisyear for small in card gifts....
sounds like creative fun....if I can get my arse in gear!

Wow...I have way too many Christmas decorations. Every year I have given each of the girls and my husband an ornament. Even when we have had a 15-foot tree, we have more than enough. My plan was that when the girls all had families or at least homes of their own, they would have their ornaments. ONly problem? I gave them the best ornaments and gave the hubby the less glam ones. That was dumb! ;-)

I love everything about Christmas, and I like it any way it comes: loud and rowdy, soft and gentle. It's all wonderful. I am not crazy about the manic shoppers, but I forgive even them. I think the season makes us all a little more reflective and kind. (That's the hope anyway.) The best part of the season is catching up with loved ones and friends we haven't seen or heard from in awhile.
