The health and fitness club held a dinner at the kids school tonight. It ran from 6 to 8. For the 1st hour you were in the cafeteria, there was a small, and I mean small, salad set in front of you and a piece of pita and some hummas. Now I have to tell you, you could have inhaled the piece of pita through your nose! When the presentation came on about making healthy choices in leiu of not so healthy choices, they put a plate of whole wheat pasta in front of you with slices of pepper. Well, thanks for the peppers because that was about all I could eat from the pasta. There was NOTHING on the pasta and it was so overcooked it was gummy.
The next hour, you went to another presentation for 15 minutes, then they had healthy desserts to choose from, which were quite good, or maybe I was that hungry! Then you went into the gym, I guess to work off the 100 calories you consumed that night! And thats if you ate everything in front of you. The gym was alot of fun, the boys and I had a blast, but let me tell you, I had all I could do not to pull into BURGER KING on my way home!
