My two boys, ages 10 and 9 have to dress as Hippies for Halloween. That is a requirement from the school. I'm good with it, as the last principal didn't let the 5th grade class dress up at all. He said they were too old. Yeah right. They grow up fast enough, how do you let the whole school dress up but not the 10 and 11 year olds? Anyway.
We tye dyed t-shirts last week, along with bandanas. I am going to take the bandanas and use them as headbands. I also bought a wig that I made 2 long ponytails out of that I attached to the back of the headbands. I found big peace sign earrings in a $ store, that I took apart and threaded some hemp type thing though to make them necklaces. I have yet to find the little "John Lennon" glasses but am confident that I will.
Any suggestions to add to these costumes? All opinions are appreciated....even if you don't like some part of the costume, tell me!
