I have heard Obama is trying to broadcast an ad before the world series. I should probably go and find out when the world series will be and when his ad will be.
But I wonder if he needs this ad and if it will help sway voters in his favor. To me it seems Obama should play things as safely as he can until election day. One little thing taken out of context could really be used against him.
On his TV program he can probably have total control, hopefully it is taped ahead of time, or at least not running totally live. But I wonder if there is a risk something he says on the program will be used against him.
What do people think about his pending program? Good idea? Bad idea?

Wait, yes I do - M O N E Y
They will make over $1Million showing it.
Oh...and for a boatload of money.
I, too, am a bit nervous that this could do more harm than good to his campaign.
But the vast majority of people won't do that. Most people would never actually seek a speech to watch. Most people, if they are even at all interested in the election, would at most just form their opinions from campaign advertisements, maybe some newspaper articles or internet news articles, or maybe some talk radio. None of this presents Obama's arguments as he presents them.
However, large numbers of people tuned into the debates, like 70 million I believe. They tuned in because it was a special event. Obama's campaign took a leap because he finally had an audience to show who he was himself. So many people saw that he wasn't the crazy radical he was made out to be. People were impressed. Their preconceived notions were destroyed.
Now this 30 minute spot across the networks will be another "special event" for people, like the debates, and they will be more likely to tune in. And Obama will have a chance to give his message to the people who he couldn't reach.
In fact, I think he'll have the greatest effect on the Fox News viewers. Heaven knows they are insulated away from the real Obama and his messages. A lot of them will watch and will be waiting to hear all of their Fox-induced notions confirmed. But instead, they'll hear a reasoned, well articulated argument for Obama.
So I think this is a wonderful idea on Obama's part. I can't wait to see how it goes over and how it affects the polls.
Guess their is some "legit" news on the topic as well:
