OK! So most of you probably know I'm pregnant by now! 34 weeks to be exact. I've been craving pickles and have constantly been teased about this and eating it along with ice cream, so let me ask you all a question, maybe you can help me figure it out.
I've been craving about three foods in particular: pickles, onions, and anything DAIRY! I eat so much sharp cheddar cheese, I feel like a hog and my Dad goes to the fridge finding no cheese in there... Its kinda embarrassing, me sitting on the toilet with my stomach popped out; myself constipated, and everyone wondering where the cheese is going.
OK... so, we know cheese is DAIRY and has calcium, BUT....
Pickles and onions give what intake and why would I be craving this? Is it an iron thing? And, as for the dairy, do you guys think it is calcium for all this craving for dairy : milk, sharp cheddar cheese, ice cream, etc?
Would appreciate anyone's advice. I've never known much about foods or what they help. I did hear a saying blueberries help the heart though which I've found interesting because I've always ate a lot of blueberry muffins as well which has helped my blood pressure with this pregnancy.

I did not crave any pickles with either of them.
But, with my son son, I wanted milkshakes constantly.
I think the kid just wants some much needed calcium, since it's being taken from your body at a rapid rate.
As to the onions, I can not say for sure. I never craved them.
How many kids will this be?
As far as your cravings check out what each item contains and that is what you must want/need!
I'm not sure there is a reasonable explanation for cravings, but they sure are hard to control.
thanks again for everyone's help!
