We went to a 50's 'Sock Hop' / halloween dance last weekend. Here are some pics.... Lots of bobby socks and poodle skirts..LOL! I was an infant in the 50's so I really couldn't get into the music, but there was booze, so it was all good.......:)
This must have been so much fun. They had sock hops up into the early sixties where I grew up. I rememer going to one in seventh grade in the school gym.
That looks like SO much fun! When I was dating this guy named Reggie, he took me to a swing fest. I had never heard swing music before. There were a ton of elderly people there dancing the night away. It was so cool to be there, and an older gentleman asked to dance with me, which was so flattering! I had a great time. It looks like you did too :)
