i was getting alot of points on here and everysince the upgrade it seems to me that my points have slowed way down and i am on gather most of the day and i was going up around 100 points a day if not more and now it has taken me 3 days to go up 53 points and i know of some other people who are having the same kind of problem is anyone else out there having this problem and if they are not could you let me know what you are doing so i can try to get my points up there i would appreciate any feed back

Good Morning folks!

Many of you have asked if Gather has changed the points algorithm recently, or purposely cut back on the amount of points being dispersed. The answer is no. However, we have identified a problem with the number of points being dispersed on a daily basis and we are actively investigating the cause of this.

The slower point accumulation is affecting all members. This was not a planned change and as soon as we have resolved the problem we will update all members here on the daily Help post. Resolving site problems is our highest priority. Thanks so much for your patience as we get this solved for you.

Mine are down too but I'm sure they will fix it soon.
I wasn't getting any..but as of this morning they started to move again..so maybe they fixed the problem.?>?>?

Lois, you get Gather Points for posting & sharing, for commenting on others articles, posts, for rating others articles, posts, for answering email, & for just clicking into another's articles, posts. You can then use your points & cash in to receive gift cards (depending on how many points you have accumulated). Hope that helps a little bit. AND ---- WELCOME TO GATHER.COM!!!!!!!!

I posted about 40 comments this morning because I couldn't sleep so I got onto Gather. My points only went up by 7. That was a lot of work for 7 points. I know you don't get points per comment you leave but that was a lot of page views too.

They could pick it up a little.

lol i agreed Regina...i've replied 50 of responses but got only 2 point...i dont know how Gater accumulate our points :S

Yeah, I've been around since 2006 or 07, and points used to get accumulated very quickly. They are soooo slow, now. Gather never fixed it, and yes, they did change their algorithm.
