Julie, this is getting ridiculous. Is there proof it came out of the McCain camp? Is it possible that someone else might have an agenda to put out trash like this? Do you need to automatically assume that everything done against your candidate is only done from McCain supporters? Point out the act, absolutely, but point fingers? You must enjoy inciting more anger.

The McCain campaign has been pretty dirty these past couple of weeks. The candidates claim that they don't condone such behavior but more and more keeps coming out of the woodwork. Disgusting.

It is amazing how much Obama is makeing race an issue. Any attempt to question him on the substance or on his associations is deamed racist. But he has absolutely know problom of sexism in his campaign. Obama does not deserve to be president.

The failure of John McCain and Sarah Palin to forcefully denounce such tactics leaves them open to the charge of giving silent consent to employing such tactics on their behalf.

Whether authorized by the McCain campaign or freelanced is irrelevant for all practical purposes. This is yet another example of the subtle voter suppression tactics for which the Republican party has become known. It's time for true Republicans to take back their party from the Rovian political strategies. You can't lead if you have zero credibility.

The silly blanket statements by commentators doesn't help with the credibility factor either.

If McCain "wins" it will be cause for revolution or emigration. It won't be a win, it will be a travesty of our electoral system.

Why can the Democrats say that their candidate is "the first black man to run for president on a major ticket" and it's not considered racist? Well, half black anyway, as he is a mulatto.

How about instead of changing the subject and engaging in deflection, we stick to topic.

Whenever McCain supports engage in something heinous (faking police reports to pretend a black man attacked them, screaming "kill him", planning to kill 104 black people, spreading fake fliers) instead of saying "Hmmm, you know, maybe there is a real problem with the divisive rhetoric we are using" they change topic and blame the victim.

And as a secondary conspiracy theory, it could BE from the Democrats trying to drum up support and votes in any way that they can, again without the endorsement of the actual candidate. No law against an independent group publishing their own ads be they Republicans or Democrats.

I equate the Senator McCain supporter who self mutilated herself and blamed a black man with the infamous Tawany Brawley who smeared feces on herself, carver the "N" word on her stomach and blamed it on four white policeman (all found innocent when her story was proven to be a blatant fabrication, one officer couldn't handle the shame from the accusation and committed suicide) SHE was help up as a victim by no less the the outstanding Democrats Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton.

You made a direct charge that Senator Obama was ignoring a cry to "stone her" at one of his rallies. I asked you for evidence that this happened AT A RALLY, beccause Obama has time and time again came out and stopped negativity at his rallies.

You did not produce evidence that any of this stuff happened at a rally. Instead, you cited incidents completely unrelated to any Obama Rallies.

In fact, your second set of "links" all refer to Michelle Malkin's blog post, which was NOT something she overheard at an Obama Rally, but rather a random, unsubstantiated comment she heard in passing on the street. All of your links are all pointing to the same SINGLE INCIDENT noted by Malkin, which does not even include any audio evidence or other verification that it was said.

I'm not saying someone did NOT say it. I'm saying all of your links point to once incident that, and the only "evidence" that the incident occured was the original bloggers post. The other links are other bloggers rehashing what the original poster said.

As to the Palin effigy: NO, it is not funny and YES it should be taken down. Hanging any specific person's effigy should be a hate crime.

Ms Julie, at least we agree upon something. There was a member from the left side of the aisle who would have advocated this sort of thing, Gather gave him the boot several weeks ago, and it's been much nicer since then. Debate at you later.

And Julie, you've quoted me at least once, did you not see the question mark at the end of my question? Very simply could have been answered as no, didn't happen at a rally, but was said by someone. And I would have accepted that.

Ms Julie, you are right. I did what I should have done instead of asking a question. I went back to look at the links I gave you, rather than just citing the lead in of the link, even though by different web site addresses. They do refer to one gentleman (if I may use that term here) saying that, but that was only one incident. There was a statement by an author of one of the columns (not a blogger) in which she stated that she was at a rally for Senator Obama and it was said there but I can find no other reference to the quote in question being said AT a rally. So a tip of the hat in your direction for answering my question.
