- 2 lb. ground beef
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 1 large green pepper, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 tsp. cumin
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. cloves
- 1/2 tsp. paprika
- 2 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- pepper, to taste
- 1 large can kidney beans
- 1/4 cup slivered almonds
Slow-Cooker Method: Brown meat and onions in heavy skillet. Put in slow cooker and add rest of ingredients except almonds. Cook on low for 6 hours. Garnish with almonds and serve.
