Gilly found a small photo album we had that we filled with pictures from the day she was born (and after, but all from when she was about 1 month or younger). She's been looking at it a lot, and just looked at it and asked me about it. Here's the conversation:

Gilly: Mom, how did we get these pictures?
Me: People took pictures, and gave them to us.
Gilly: Well, why did people take pictures?
Me: Because you were brand new
Gilly: Oh. Was it because I was so cute?

Commense laughter. Take a breath.

Me: Yes, baby, that's exactly why.
Me (to Nick): Now there's modesty at it's finest, for you.
